Your Trane Home Energy Management Thermostat is not dependent on the Internet and will continue to heat or cool your home based upon the schedule and thermostat settings you selected. All thermostat settings available in your Nexia account can also be changed at the thermostat. However, thermostat schedules defined in your Nexia account will not operate until the Internet or Z-Wave communication problem has been resolved.

What happens if my house loses A.C. power?

The Trane Home Energy Management Thermostat will not operate when household power is lost. All system settings, except time and date, are retained in permanent memory and do not need to be reset after any length of power loss. If power is lost for longer than 24 hours, the time and date may need to be reset at the thermostat.
